It doesn\u2019t happen everyday. Sometimes translators are in touch with their authors, sometimes we get to meet them in person and sometimes we even have the chance to chat with them for a while. But rarely can we spend a whole afternoon with an author we admire, ask them whatever we want and then hear them speak in public in the evening.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s what happened to me a few days ago when Tom Gauld<\/a> came to Barcelona to speak at Primera Persona<\/a>, a literary festival held at CCCB<\/a>. He also launched the Spanish edition of his new book, Cooking with Kafka<\/em><\/a> (Salamandra Graphic<\/a>), which I translated a few months ago.
