It was organized by <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mayorserrano\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blanca Mayor Serrano<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/alvaropons\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00c1lvaro Pons<\/a> for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uv.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aula de C\u00f3mic<\/a> at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uv.es\/uvweb\/catedras-institucionales\/es\/relacion-catedras-institucionales\/catedra-estudis-comic\/presentacion-1286061504806.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">C\u00e1tedra de Estudios del C\u00f3mic Fundaci\u00f3n SM<\/a>&#8211;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uv.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Universitat de Val\u00e8ncia<\/a>. I was lucky enough to take part in it with this talk about the publishing process seen from the point of view of someone who translates comics, which was a dream to prepare:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/XuxoNJs-7hI\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nThere was also an interesting round table on teaching comic translation with my colleagues <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alemol.com\/es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Andr\u00e9 H\u00f6chemer<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lascuatrodesyldavia.es\/bios\/view\/hester\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Esther Cruz Santaella<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/raul_giscan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ra\u00fal Gisbert<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lascuatrodesyldavia.es\/bios\/view\/reginella\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Regina L\u00f3pez Mu\u00f1oz<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/q0lg0sn9_jE\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sergiotraduce\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sergio Espa\u00f1a<\/a> participated as well with a talk about translation in the comic industry:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/U1WrOaIBZd4\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nAnd <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PacoRodriguezRo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paco Rodr\u00edguez<\/a> spoke about the main traits of comic translation:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/dxQShgqTxq8\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nAll in all, a great assessment of different aspects of the trade!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The recent online conference \u2018Translation in comics\u2019 was just marvellous.
